Seafood Shell Out

The best thing about this food is that, you can eat with the entire of your family. Without any plates, spoon and fork. It really fun as you can share it with you friends and family.

But first thing first, you have to make sure that you invite as many as you could to eat together. The more the merrier!

As the whole concept is sit down and eat together. This concept has won the heart, minds and especially stomachs of seafood lovers in Malaysia.

Lately, Seafood Shell Out is so well-loved by Malaysian as we have a variety of seafood in our sea. It is been a phenomenon where almost every restaurant offer shell out set to their customer.

So, last weekend my mom and my sisters that had been struggling in preparing Seafood Shell Out haha!

On the morning, my mom went to the market, buying some seafood (a lot of seafoods). Seems like she wanted to cook for a feast. Haha.

So, there are prawns, crabs, squids, razor shell, clams and some vegetables too.

How to eat?
As long as you have table and chair. Haha that’s all.

It’s pretty simple as you can just spread a transparent plastic sheet so that it will be easy-to-wash instead of using a cloth.

Then, throw all the boiled seafood on the table.

When everybody are ready at the table, and yeah that’s the perfect time to pour the sauce. That’s what we called as a “show before eat”. So mouthwatering.

Get a plate of rice. And it’s time to grab your seafood!

Tips and Trick: Take as much as you could haha!

Surprisingly, it was so good!

Yeah surprisingly it was incredibly good.

The crucial and important part when you deal with seafood is do not overcooked it. If it happened, it’s such a turn off.

The prawn and squids were so tender, soft, fresh, juicy and superb! It was extremely good.

And I think my mom cooked it perfectly without the squids and prawns getting overcooked (overboiled). Because if you overcooked it, the squids will become hard to chew, was not good at all and rubbery.

My mom and my sister did a great job. I can’t denied.

The sauce plays an important role. Turned out, it was so good! Even it was my mom’s first time doing it. A huge thumbs up to her.

The sauce is kinda watery but still thick. It was spicy. And as you can see there were bird-eye chilies there. Which is it suits very well with the seafood.

The vegetables were not too soft but it’s kinda crunchy. Yeah, that was it supposed to be! We have broccoli, cauliflower (albino broccoli) *joking, carrot and potatoes. Mix it all and it looks so beautiful.

I cannot resist to have another plate of rice. I think I ate 3 plate of rice.

It was full of joy and laughter as I ate with the whole of my family. It is a compulsory for you to try it out.

Instead of eating Shell Out at the restaurant, why don’t you give it a try.

The process of making it includes you go to the market in the morning, cook with family and eating together at the dining. I am super super happy.

But hey no to forget, I got allergic after eating all the seafood. But still no regret.
